NEWS:
February, 2026: I'm assured that Comedies for the Virtual Stage is now readily available at Amazon and through your favorite bookstore. This is a collection of plays that was produced online by PlayZoomers, an organization that I've been associated with since 2020. My one-act play, Curtain Call, is included in this book. https://lnkd.in/eRHQZm9f
2025 In Review!
2025 turned out to be a really good year in the theatre. I directed Almost Perfect and The End of Society for PlayZoomers, and my ten-minute comedy The Ten-Minute Play (with a Nice Picture of Jimmy Carter) was performed by Theatrical Shenanigans. Burnt Toast of Broadway had a great run, winning Best Short Comedy at the New York Play Reading Festival and receiving a staged reading from Cincinnati Playwrights Initiative. I also wrote two new works during the year—The Cold Foul Air and the musical Peter Pan Backstage, with music by Greg Dastillung. In the fall, I published Six Short Plays Anyone Can Do!, relaunched greghatfield.com, and had my play Curtain Call included in the anthology Comedies for the Virtual Stage. Feeling grateful—and energized for what’s next.
Big news! My new book Six Short Plays Anyone Can Do! is officially live on Amazon! It’s a collection of small-cast comedies with simple sets, flexible casting, and big laughs — written for actors, classrooms, and theatre lovers who want to have fun onstage without breaking the budget. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FXH4M1RR
